I don’t photograph Paris for its noise, but for its silence
Philippe Triconnet is a French photographer based near Paris.
Following a demanding career in finance, he reconnected with his early passion for photography. After several years exploring live performance and event video alongside his main profession, a return to full-frame photography opened a new path.
The slower rhythm of still images and the precision of light control gradually shifted his focus towards black-and-white work.
He now devotes his personal practice to monochrome photography, attentive to lines, shadows, and discreet human presence. His subjects — museums, train stations, places of worship, and urban architecture — become spaces of resonance between stone, light, and anonymous silhouettes.
